THE MAGNOLIA TOUR

Take a a tour back in time to the extinct town of Magnolia. Your captain will take your group sightseeing up the St. Marks River for several miles. You will navigate past the old boat factory where the "Higgins Landing Craft" was manufactured, then under the Highway 98 bridge, past "New Port", and on to the riverside site of Magnolia, a once bustling port town in the very early days of Wakulla County. Your captain will discuss the history of this era and show you some actual photographs from the early 1800s. This tour gives adults and kids plenty to enjoy. You also go to the "shoals," a unique place in the river about a mile above the Magnolia site where you can get out of the boat for an optional quick refreshing dip to cool off. This tour combines history with a thrilling boat ride and lots of wildlife. Tour lasts approximately 90 minutes.
